I was born in Pozoblanco, a town in northern Cordoba surrounded by fields and houses where much of life happens outdoors. I grew up in a very large family and many of my memories are filled with meals in the patio, summer afternoons in the countryside, and conversations that stretched until nightfall.

Creativity has always been very present at home. My childhood was spent around my grandmother Concha's parlor table, where we spent afternoons drawing, sewing, or embroidering. My mother has painted patios, gardens, photographs from our trips, or magazines that inspired her for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching her transform all of this into paintings, and that taught me to see the world just as she did.

My artistic practice has evolved over the years. I've used different techniques, but discovering oil stick painting was a turning point in my work. It allowed me to abandon the pursuit of perfection and enjoy a freer, more physical, and more imperfect style of painting. I'm interested in traces, textures, vibrant colors, and the feeling that the work retains the gesture and time of the person who painted it.

I currently live in Madrid, where I also founded and co-direct La Cristalería, a cultural center dedicated to artistic residencies, exhibitions, and meeting spaces for artists. For me, creating and sharing are part of the same process and only make sense together.

I believe that a painting is truly completed when someone looks at it and connects with it from their own experience. Knowing that there is someone else accompanying this journey is what makes it all meaningful. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for valuing my work and for being here.
